Gratings.-Gratings for flooring, steps, and like purposes are formed of parallel bars 1 with slots 2 inclined in opposite directions in adjacent bars, and transverse bars 3 which are forced into the slots without any deformation of those portions engaged by the slots; the upper edges of the bars 1 and 3 are flush. The grid may be surrounded by a frame welded to the bars.
