Gratings.-A floor grating formed of bars placed on edge comprises deep side bars 1, intermediate narrow bars 4, and cross-bars 8 connecting the side bars and supporting the lower edges of the intermediate bars. The side bars are notched at 2 to rest on the floor beams and the intermediate bars are connected to the side. bars and to one another by narrow zig-zag bars 6 the end portions 7 of which rest on the cross-bars 8. Additional cross-bars 9 may be provided.
