Abstract

303,624. Camps, J. P. Nov. 30, 1927. Shedding-motions of the type wherein shedding- cams are used arranged to separate the warp threads to prevent rubbing. Four shedding cams 17 are used, of irregular periphery, and differing from the others in respect of its radial dimensions and shape. The cams actuate bowls on respective levers 13-13c connected as shown to respective healds 10-10c. These are interconnected above in pairs, the healds 10, 10b being connected to pulleys of different diameter on a shaft 19, and the healds 10a, 10c to pulleys on a shaft 20. The warp threads are thereby separated as shown in Fig. 3, as they rise and fall. The cams are all fixed to a single piece.
