Abstract

303,358. Simonsson, W. Dec. 31, 1927, [Convention date]. Bottles, washing.-In a bottle-washing machine employing an endless conveyer driven at uniform speed by means of rotating drums 1, the bottles carried by the holders 3 are washed by liquid sprayed from nozzles 7, which are provided on a swinging frame 5 adapted to move forward at the same speed as that of the conveyer and backward at a greater speed. The conveyer 2i is substantially triangular in elevation, receives and delivers the bottles during its vertical run, carries the bottles through a soaking bath during the lower and horizontal portion of its run, and conveys the bottles past the nozzles during the inclined return portion of its run. The frame 5 is carried by links 6, the upper pair of which are mounted on a shaft provided with a lever 9 having a roller which is engaged by a cam disc 10 driven through gearing from a drum 1.
