Roundabouts.-An aircraft toy, actuated by a propeller driven by a motor situated in the aircraft itself, is suspended from a circling girder supported on a luffing mast. Situated near to the base of the mast are representations of well-known structures, and the aircraft circles round one structure, ascends in a spiral fashion, and descends by circling round the other structure. The mast M, Fig. 1, is pivotally connected to the base G, to which the structures E and N are attached by extensible rods 3 and 4. To the head of the mast is pivotally connected a bow 12, Fig. 4, to which is attached a guide frame 15 containing a rotatable threaded spindle 16 removably coupled to a shaft secured to the girder T carrying the aircraft. A nut 21 on the threaded spindle 16 is guided bv the channelled sides of the frame 15, one of which is slotted to allow a pin 22, connected to the nut, to project and form a pivot for one end of a guide rod 23, the other end of which rocks on a pivot 24a on the base plate. The bow is maintained in a vertical position by a lever 26 pivoted at 25 to the centre of the mast M, and slotted to engage pins on the guide frame and the base plate. Brake springs 31 and 32 on a rod 30 are engaged by a stop on the nut 21. Auxiliary springs 36 and 37 may be provided to assist the luffing movement of the mast.
