Abstract

301,263. Fowler, C. H. April 12, 1928. Disc-tool harrows; implements with adjustable tool frames; adjusting parts; travelling gear; transporting.-A reversible disc harrow having no travelling wheels when in operation is provided fore and aft with single or multiple rows of discs, which rows are independently angularly adjustable relatively to one another both for varying the cutting angle and for steering the implement at the headlands. The discs 4 are mounted on frames 3 connected to turntables 2 fitted in a top frame 1, the turntables being ind'epemden.tly adjustable angularly by chains 5 and steering-wheels 6 near the seat 7. Adjustable draw bars 8 are provided for attachment to the cables 8<x>, 8<y>. A toothed harrow 9 or other implement may be conneeted by chains 10 to depending brackets 11, or may be mounted behind or in front of the top frame 1. For transport purposes the frames 3 may be turned parallel to the direction of travel and the implement mounted on travelling wheels, a drawbar being pivotally attached to one of the frames 3.
