avoiding the tendency to slip down hill which is so evident with ordinary plows. By reason of the point of main connection of the drawbar with the frame being adjacent the rear end of the latter, the drawbar toward its forward end may be connected to the crossbar 27 on the side thereof adjacent the longitudinal plane of the wheel 14. This enables the tractor to be maintained well to one side of the furrow being made, while at the same time the plow will not pull out of the ground as would be the case with the ordinary plow if the drawbar were connected to the structure in a corresponding lateral point.
From the foregoing description it will be readily seen that I have produced such a device as substantially fulfills the objects of the invention as set forth herein.
While this specification sets forth in detail the present and preferred construction of the device, still in practice such deviations from such detail may be resorted to as do not form a departure from the spirit of the invention, as defined by the appended claims.
Having thus described my invention what y I claim as new and useful and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
l. In plow construction, a main wheel-supported frame, a drawbar pivoted at its rear end on the frame toward its rear end for swinging movement in a transverse horimain frame, a drawbar pivoted at its rear end on the frame intermediate the ends thereof and extending thence beyond the front end of the same, a cross-bar secured on the front end of the frame, the drawbar extending under and slidably engaging the crossbar, and means between the drawbar and cross-bar for holding the former against lateral movement relative to the cross-bar from a plurality of different positions in the length of said cross-bar.
3. A structure as in claim 2, in which said last named means comprises a yoke straddling the drawbar under the cross-bar and engaging the latter, with means for adjustably securing said yoke to the cross-bar.
