Abstract
301,080. Colomb, H. Nov. 25, 1927, [Convention date]. Apparatus for making filaments.-The nozzles c constituting the spinning orifices of a nozzle for spinning artificial silk, are formed as separate elements and are held in the body a of the nozzle bv the elasticity of the metal of which the latter is composed. T h e nozzle may be simply pressed into an opening b in the plate a, resting on the shoulder d, Fig. 1; or it may be held by a resilient collar c, Fig. 2; or a recess g may be formed round the opening so as to leave a resilient fin f, Fig. 3. The nozzles c may be made from fine stone or of gold or platinum; and they may be split as shown in Fig. 5, in which case the spinning orifice is formed by cutting instead of by drilling.
