Abstract

Cattle stalls.-A securing yoke 1, 2 for cattlesheds is fastened to a beam 9 and to the floor bv means of chains 8, 7 and has one half 1 hinged at the upper end to a member 4, while the other half 2 catches in a groove 6 by means of a pin 5. The member 4 carries a pivoted lever 10 which normally lies across the groove 6 to lock the pin 5 in position, and the outer end of the lever is connected by a chain 12 to a crank 13 on a longitudinal bar 14, to which all the similar levers are connected. On turning the bar 14 by means of the handle 15, the lever 10 unlocks the pin 5, and then strikes a projection 16, so that further movement tilts the member 4 sufficiently to allow the pin 5 to drop out of the groove 6. A spring may be provided for holding the lever 10 in the locking position. In a modification, the groove 6 is closed by a spring-controlled pawl which is withdrawn by means of a bell-crank lever carried by the member 4.
