Abstract

Lawn-tennis and like nets.-To tension a tennis or like net between two posts chains 4, Fig. 1. are attached by a swivel joint 8 to the cable 1, and the upper part of the post has a single vertical slot in which one of the links engages, the next link bearing against the side 7 of the slot. The posts may have solid tops, or shaped plates 12, Fig. 4, with a slot 15, can be secured to the pests. The slots may have an enlargement 14 at the upper end to facilitate guiding a link into the slot.
