Transformers.-In order to obtain substantially uniform amplification of currents of audiofrequencies over a given range avoiding a resonance peak, the transformer employed has at least one of its windings made of wire of magnetic material, e.g. nickel, in which the resistance increases at the higher frequency values. The results are graphically illustrated in comparison with the results obtained by using resistance wire such as nichrome.
