Abstract

Master control systems ; safety arrangements. -An electromagnetic switch 7 for controlling a circuit containing a motor 1 has, in addition to the operating magnet 6, an auxiliary magnet 13 connected to an inductive coil 2, which may be the motor shunt-field winding. The coil 13 becomes inductively energized immediately after the switch 7 is opened, and while so energized delays or prevents reclosure of the switch. The invention may serve to safeguard a motor against too sudden reversal.
