Abstract

296,907. Forbes, A. H. Oct. 5, 1927. Surface markings.-Road. surface lines or marks for traffic guidance are formed from nail-like units each comprising a stamped plate A of rustless steel with a sharp vertical lip C round the under edge which bites into the road surface, the plate being secured by one or more spikes passing through a hole or holes in the plate. The under edge of each hole may also be provided with a sharp lip D. The lip C may be interrupted or cut away at one or more points. In the form shown, a single central square hole is provided for a spike of square section.
