296,746. Ellis, G. B., (Anaconda Copper Mining Co.). June 7, 1927. Sheets. - A cake of copper for subsequent rolling into sheets is made by casting, endwise in a tapered mould 10, Figs. 5 and 6, for instance of copper. A.suitable size is 16in. x 10in. x 4¢in. with a taper of about #in. The cake may be rolled in universal rolls 8, 9, Fig. 4, and only small portions 6, 7 need be cropped thus removing the rough metal of the setting face 4, Fig. 6.
