Abstract

296,480. Coram, H. C. June 7, 1927. Luggage-holders for road vehicles are formed as a collapsable box-like structure on the rear wall of the vehicle. As shown the holder comprises a recess A in the rear wall of the vehicle having hinged thereto side walls E, F, base. C and lid G, the front wall D being hinged to the base C. When out of use the structure is folded into the recess as shown in Fig. 5, a latch K being engaged by a lock M. The sides E, F when extended are locked to the front wall D by latches J, J<1> and hinged stays H are provided. A lock L is fitted to the front wall D with which the latch K engages.
