Abstract
296,252. Eardley, F. A. Feb. 24, 1928. Necktie-retainers.-A frame on which a necktie may be made-up and attached to the collar stud comprises a rigid one-piece elongated frame 1 of wire having outwardly inclined arms 5, Fig. 1, and 8, Fig. 4, at the ends formed on or fixedly attached thereto. A depending eyed or forked portion 2 is provided for attachment to the collar stud. Spiral spring extensions 6, Fig. 1, may be passed over and secured in any way to the arm 5, and a cap 7 may be secured, as by screwing, to the outer end of each of the extensions 6. The arms or extensions are inserted under the collar flap to retain the necktie in proper position, the form shown in Fig. 1 being intended for soft collars and that shown in Fig. 4, for stiff ones. The end of the frame may be provided with recesses, projections or slots at each end for supporting the tie or bow.
