Abstract

296,248. White, A. E., (Pfaudler Co.). Jan. 9, 1928. Stirrers.-A rotary screw agitator comprise a hollow body made of a pair of sheet metal blanks .5, 6 cut to form central portions with radial blades, the edges of which are bent inwardly and sealed by welding. One of the blanks is provided with a boss 8 while the other is welded to a sleeve 11 for the shaft. By these means irregular cooling of the agitator is avoided while coating with a vitreous coating.
