Gratings.-A flexible metallic fabric for reinforcing concrete and for other building purposes, such as gridwork for floors and walls, consists of short lengths of sheet-metal strips a, Fig. 1, with end holes threaded side by side on transverse rods c. Portions of the fabric may be bent out of the general plane, as shown in Fig. 10, to form stiffening ribs with or without tie links a<3> for reinforcing buttresses, lintels, and like projections. The fabric may be used alone or in combination with the twisted bars described in Specification 282,226, [Class 20 (iv), Floors &c.].
