Abstract
294,865. McClure, W. L. April 10, 1928. Sewing-needles for surgical use are provided with an enclosed longitudinal slot 11 extending from the end into the eye 10 so that the knot 14 in the centre 13 is completely enclosed. Either or both ends of the slot 11 are flared as at 16 and 17, Fig. 4. The eye may be replaced by a recess 18, Fig. 6.
