Abstract

293,415. Feldmar, A. B. July 6, 1927, [Convention date]. Fixing by chuck-grip taper sockets.-In a device for securing stone drills or other striking or similarly manipulated tools in their handles or holders by means of a slotted cone adapted to be secured in the holder, the cone has a passage for the reception of the tool terminating in an orifice to accommodate the end of the tool so that the latter rests in the cone in a freely-exposed manner whereby the end is not subjected to wear. The slotted cone 2 which enters the conical bore 4 in the handle 3 has a cylindrical hole 5 to receive the tool stem 1, the hole 5 terminating in a shoulder 6 engaging the end of the tool.
