Inductances. - Pupin coil sections for marine telephone cables have the coil axes at an angle to' the axes of the coil pieces. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 2 the axes of the coils 1 are at right angles to the axis of the coil piece and are parallel. The coils are embedded in cylindrical bodies 2 with recesses for the leads 4. The coil axes may be obliquely arranged with respect to each other and the coils have an elastic spacer between them.
