Annealing-boxes.-An annealing- box is made of sheet iron and is provided with a top flange b tc the edge of which a sheet iron cover c is adapted to be welded. A vent tube e is welded to the cover or to the container. After the annealing operation the welded edges of the flange and the container are cut or burnt off The box may be used repeatedly till the flange has been cut away, whereupon it may be provided with a fresh flange and cover. The boxes are made of shapes suitable for the articles to be annealed.
