291,049. National Supply Co. of Delaware, (Assignees of Timbs, E.). May 25, 1927, [Convention date]. Reels.-In a well boring plant, the drawworks drum is formed of two complementary portions each comprising half of the spool 8 and an integral end flange 11 to which a brake drum 13 is secured; each portion has reinforcing ribs 17 and a hub 16 for securing to, or journaling on, a shaft 3, and at the meeting ends, each portion has an annular shoulder 18, and a bevelled end 25, a ring 21, with an annular groove 22, being placed between the portions and secured thereto by welding in metal 26.
