Abstract
289,862. Lorenz Akt.-Ges., C. May 4, 1927, [Convention date]. Transmitting-mechanism, electric.-For maintaining constant speed of electric or other motors, a constantly working electric make-and-break device 10 automatically varying the effective value of a resistance 5 in a direction to give fine regulation compensating for changes of speed of the motor 2, acts also upon a two-way make-andbreak 13 controlling a reversible pilot-motor 17 which inserts more or less resistance 6 in series with 5. The object is to keep the fine regulation close to the middle of its range, i.e. where the make-and-break 10 adjusts itself for equal periods of opening and closing. The resistances may, as shown, influence the field of an electric motor; or they may influence an electric brake for an electric or other motor. The invention may be applied to the driving of high-frequency machines in wireless telegraph circuits.
