Mounting rotors.-A rotary refrigerating com. pressor 2 on the shaft of an electric motor is arranged vertically within the condenser chamber 13, with its suction port 3 at the top and discharge port 4 at the bottom so that lubricant flows downwards with the refrigerant. Oil from the upper bearing flows into a channel 5 and thence by a passage 6, chamber 7 and passages 8 to the suction port, and thus does not reach the motor.
