Purifying saccharine liquids.-Sugar juice after liming &c., is subjected to gravity settling until only small quantities of solids remain, and is then treated by centrifuging to remove these solids, the centrifuge having a non-perforated bowl wall from which the deposits are periodically removed while the centrifuge is at rest.
