Abstract

287,326. Thomson, W. March 31, 1927. Fencing standards; securing fencing wires to - standards.-A U-shaped fencing standard has an arcuate web portion 1 and flanges 4, 5 which are inwardly bent towards each other at points 2, 3 intermediate the web portion 1 and the ends 6, 7 of the flanges. The ends 6, 7 are preferably inwardly curved also. The web portion 1 is formed with a series of projections 9 between which are spaces 10 in which the fencing wires 11 are supported. The wires are locked in these spaces by wire clips, Fig. 6, which are bent round and across the web portion 1 and the wires 11 and whose extremities 13, 14 are hooked round the rear ends of the flanges of the standard. The standard has a pointed end to enter the ground.
