Cut-out arrangeinents. - In an automaticallyreclosing circuit-breaker system of the kind in which, when the circuit-breaker 3 is tripped by its coil 4 on overload or short circuit, a testing resistance 6 is connected across it, the testing relay 9 which closes and energizes the reclosing coil 5 from the mains when the voltage across the testing resistance becomes adequate is shunted by a resistance 7. The relay together with its shunt resistances are brought into circuit by closure of back contacts 8 on the circuitbreaker only when the latter is in the open position. In an adaptation to a system supplied from more than one source, a second relay of the twoway type is employed which is connected across the line and, in the event of overload, permits the first relay to reclose the circuit-breaker at once, whereas, in the event of short-circuit the second relay assumes its second position and prevents reclosure of the circuit-breaker.
