Abstract
287,002. Cook &. Co., Manchester, Ltd., and Towlson, R. J. Oct. 10, 1927. Linear-dimension gauges.-A device for setting the bottom rollers of textile spinning frames comprises a graduated bar 4 having at one end a fixed gauging member 5, and having mounted upon it several gauge members 6, 7, 8 parallel to the member 5 capable of being adjusted and set with reference to the bar 4. The gauging members are widened out at their lower ends to provide long engaging faces with the rollers. The members are slid on over the free end of the bar and have liners between the parts embracing the bar and over the top edge of the latter to take the thrust of the securing screws 9. These liners have upstanding ends 14 which prevent longitudinal displacement relatively to the member. The members may be formed so that they can be lifted off the bar instead of being slid off at the end.
