Abstract

286,925. Shaw. Q. A. May 17, 1927. Lawns &c., removing rubbish from.-Apparatus for sweeping golf greens &c. comprises a number of sweeping elements connected to the crosspiece of a draught appliance in such a way as to be movable relative to one another in planes intersected by the line of draught, so as to conform to the contour of the ground. Brushes 4 are pivotally connected to support bars 3 which are themselves pivoted on a cross-bar 1 rigidly connected to a draught tongue 2, the brushes being loosely connected together by chains 5. Each pivotal connection comprises a bolt 7 fixed in one element and passing through a bush 9 fixed in the other element and projecting so as to form a spacing member, washers 10, 12 being provided.
