Reversible seats.-In a reversible seat of the kind in which the reversible back is connected by a lever and link system to the seat member, in such a way that the seat member is suitably tilted when the back is thrown over, the levers 3, carrying the back 7, are connected to the links 8 carrying the seat, 11<a> by links 14 having pin and slot engagements 16, 15 with the links 8, so that a certain amount of lost motion is provided, the seat member not moving immediately on movement of the back. When in either extreme position, the links 8 supporting the front of the seat are vertical, and the back-carrying levers 3 may rest on stops 18. The links 8 and levers 3 are all pivoted to, and extend upwardly from horizontal bars 1 fixed to the top of the seat frame, so that the latter may be made as a cantilever structure, the space below the seat being clear of obstruction.
