Shafts.-A golf-club shaft 10 is composed of a number of bamboo sections 13 and two sections 15 of hickory. The hickory sections are in front of a central plane 16 through the shaft, this plane being substantially at right angles to the face 18 of the club-head 11, and are on either side of a plane 16<1> at right angles to the plane 16.
