Abstract

285,484. Nilsson, E. A. E. Feb. 19, 1927, [Convention date]. Tents.-A tent comprise: a domed roof portion and side walls constituting a single connected structure, and the roof portion is fitted with radial spring ribs 2, which are connected at their inner ends to a collar 4 slidable upon the central pole 3 and at approximately their middle parts to ties 11 secured to the projecting upper part of the pole. Each tie 11 extends between a pair of ribs 2, and a cap 12 is provided at the top of the pole. In erecting the tent, the sleeve 4 is pulled downwards by cords 18, 20 and chain 19 so that the ribs and fabric are extended, and the chain 19 is fastened over a projection on the pole. The tent pole 3 is of telescopic form. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also describes the application of the invention to tents of tunnel shape, the ribs 2 being disposed in parallel formation on a rod 21, Fig. 7 (Cancelled), which is supported on the top of the central pole 3. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
