Date-indicators. - A date-indicator comprises an apertured casing, one or more pairs of rollers rotatably mounted therein, endless bands passing over the individual rollers of each pair and marked with the date figures, month and day names, means whereby spring pressure is applied to the rollers to maintain tension on the bands, and means for rotating the rollers to exhibit the date. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, a casing 2 is mounted on a hollow base member 1, within which is mounted a pair of rollers 3, 4, Fig. 3, over which runs an endless hand 5 bearing the month names. In the casing directly above these rollers is mounted a pair of rollers 13, 14, Fig. 5, with an endless band 15 bearing the units of the date figures and coaxial with the roller 13 is a roller 16, Fig. 6, marked with the tens of the date figures. Mounted above these rollers is another pair of rollers 25, 26, with an endless band 27, Fig. 8, bearing the names of the days of the week. To prevent the bands slipping on the rollers 13, 14, 25, and 26, retaining plate members 10, 32, each with a slotted front end are placed over the ends of the pairs of spindles and by means of springs 11, 33 maintain the bands in tension. The tension on the band 15 is maintained by a spring 19 surrounding telescopic members 20 having ends shaped to engage grooves in the rollers. The setting of the rollers 16 is maintained by a spring 18. The spindles project out of the casing and are fitted with operating knobs.
