Abstract

282,781. Del Riccio, E. R. Dec. 28, 1926, [Convention date]. Heating by electricity. - A cooking vessel 11, or a coffee making apparatus, has a weight 13 firmly secured thereto, and a tipping axis 11 is provided at the bottom of the vessel at a slight distance from the vertical plane through its centre of gravity, so that when the vessel becomes empty, it tilts to operate a switching-out device which may be a mercury switch 18. The weight may be arranged on the handle of the apparatus or in the connecting plug. As shown, it is adjustable on the lever arm 12. The axis 17 mav be constituted by an edge stamped out of the bottom of the vessel or by a wire soldered thereon.
