Abstract
251,551. Townshend, E., and Townshend, W. Nov. 25, 1925. Stands.-A cup receptacle a, Figs. 2 and 4, adapted to rest in a communion cup tray or seat bracket of known kind, and to receive a communion cup c, is provided with an upstanding bracket or support d to which is hinged a plate or receptacle f so that both elements may be served together. The plate f may be hinged at g, Fig. 2, to swing in a vertical plane and to form a lid or cover for the communion cup c, or it may be swung about a vertical pin in a horizontal plane above the top of the cup c, as shown in Fig. 4. A handle j, Fig. 2, or an enlarged crutch m<1>, Fig. 4, may be provided' to facilitate handling. The cup receptacle a may be constructed, as shown at Fig. 6, from a spider blank, the plate f being hinged to the part o, and the part p serving as handle.
