Abstract
282,353. Kustner, A. Dec. 16, 1926, [Convention date]. Road-traffic signals on vehicles.-Direction signals for use on vehicles comprise cylindrical glass-fronted and glass-backed boxes h, one for each side of the vehicle, adapted to be projected laterally of the car by lazy-tongs l, which are housed entirely within the vehicle, and to be illuminated by internal lamps k when a contact strikes a fixed contact 11. The left-hand signal is projected by pulling a cable 6, which moves a bar s inwards by means of pivoted levers x, 4 connected by a link 2. The right-hand signal is projected by a cable z and pivoted lever w moving a bar t. Catch devices hold the cables in position, the return movement of the signals being effected by springs 8. The devices are housed in a casing e disposed below the windscreen.
