Abstract

280,914. Gabler, J. Nov. 16, 1926, [Convention date]. Shuttleless looms.-In looms in which the weft thread is inserted doubled, means is provided for preventing the severed short end of the weft from slipping away. When a weft 1 has been inserted, a holding device 4 is moved into the position shown to cause the warps 8, 9 at the edge of the fabric to engage and lock the thread 1 in position until the shed has been changed. The device is slid into the position shown by a strap attached to the lay, and is moved out of engagement, with the warp threads by the reed at the beat-up.
