Abstract
280,095. Bouillon, J. April 6, 1927. Burglar alarms.-A bolt 2 when shot engages the head 10 of a pin 9 to remove a bridge 11 from contacts 12, 13 in a bell circuit and to make contact between the pin and a second pin 19, which is included in a second circuit of the bell 16. The first circuit includes a switch 14 only closed when the alarm is to be operative, so that when the bolt is withdrawn by an unauthorized person the bell circuit is closed by the bridge 11, and the second circuit includes a switch 22 that is closed when the door is opened, so that an alarm is given when the bolt is forced. A casing 23, 25 covers the contact mechanism and the keeper 3 and prevents the keeper from falling away from the bolt when the door is forced. Should the bolt be sawn, a spring 5 engaging a recess 4 prevents the severed piece from allowing the pin 9 to return.
