Contacts.-To avoid the use of a special flexible lead and to avoid conducting current through a movable joint, the movable contact of a. switch is formed of the end of a laminated conductor which is sufficiently flexible for its other end to be fixed to a stationary part of the switch or to be connected direct to the circuit. The laminated conductor 38 may be of copper or bronze and the laminae may also be of braided material. The conductor is held in a clamp 37 and one or more of the laminae may be turned up as at 40 and connected to an auxiliary contact 35 pivoted to the clamp. The invention is shown applied to a switch of the kind described in Specification 287,283.
