277,091. British Bead Printers, Ltd., Vredenburg, J. C., and Heynert, F. A. H. June 8, 1926. Ornamenting.-In the ornamenting of fabrics, paper, leather, &c. by means of deposits of ureaformaldehyde and other urea condensation products, as described in Specification 247.001, surface decorating materials, which have no chemical action on the condensation products, are applied to the deposits while they are still in the intermediate liquid or plastic condition, or are incorporated with the condensation products before these are applied to the surface to be ornamented. The decorating material may consist of glass particles, metal or pearl dust, mica flakes, small metal discs, or fibrous material, such as paper, wool, or cotton, and may be sprinkled upon, blown over, or otherwise applied to the surface. Alternatively, the condensation product may be mixed with powdered mica, talc, china-clay, sand or other suitable substance in solid. liquid, or semi-liquid form. before a:pplication to the surface. The deposits may be coloured, and may be arranged in a pattern, or may substantially cover the surface. One of the Provisional Specifications describes the incorporation of mica, talc, &c. with a phenol condensation product.
