Abstract

276,678. Simon, F. Aug. 25, 1926, [Convention date]. R÷ntgen-ray apparatus.-In taking R÷ntgenray photograph of an object the differences of wave-length of rays penetrating the object are registered in visible colour tints. The photographic sensitive layer is covered, on the side facing the object, by a screen comprising elements having different absorptive powers for the rays, such as a mixture of starch grains saturated some with a lead salt, others with a copper salt, and others with an aluminium salt. These three kinds of elements are dyed with different colours, such as green, blue and red. The developed image will show the places where the rays have been retarded through a longer path in the object, or where substances of different absorptive power have been traversed, both by variation of intensity of the image and by variation of colour tint.
