275,493. Kasanof, M. M. Feb. 1, 1927. Shaping and stretching tubular goods upon cores and internal frames.-A device for steaming and stretching tubular fabrics comprise a. steam pipe 13 on to which the fabric is packed, and a hollow body 10 which is detachably connected to the top of the pipe 13. Stretching rings 35 of various sizes can be fixed by means of screws and keyhole slots 37, 36 around the body 10 which carries at its top an adjustable spreading frame 21. Steam from the pipe 13 passes through holes 17 into the top of a bell 18 and escapes through other holes 20 into a pocket in the fabric immediately below the ring 35. Any water of condensation escapes by the pipe 33. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 268,659.
