Abstract

Piling. - Corner members for metal sheet piling an made from sections provided with the same interlocking joints as the ad jacent wall members by a bending opera tion during which the section is engaged between rolls at a limited part only and is constrained by previously rolled guides or bolsters on the section so that the bending is effected at the desired place. The section is first rolled so as to form pads or guides b, Fig. 1, and a depression d, which provide the necessary guidance for the subsequent bending operation between rolls, the section being heated during bending. The final form is shown in Fig. 4. The method may also be applied to other articles in which it, is necessary to provide special guides for the bar to be rolled.
