Wind - screens. - In road vehicles the transverse window 8 behind the drivers' seat is provided with a downward extension 16 having a pivotal plate 18 provided with rollers 19 adapted to embrace a rib or runway 15 shaped as shown so that on lowering the window it is housed in a recess 14 arranged so as to be clear of the folding seat recess 3. A spring 20 and fillet 12 guide the window into correct vertical position when elevated.
