Abstract

274,909. Krause, G. A. July 26, 1926, [Convention date]. Disinfectants. - Organic materials are preserved by continuously contacting with water or other liquids which have been oligodynamically activated by means of copper or silver or their alloys. The liquids employed include ordinary or distilled water, common salt or other solutions, and emulsions and suspensions. The liquid may be concentrated by evaporation before use. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use of liquids treated with other activating metals or alloys, such as gold, and the activation of the liquid in vessels wholly or partly constructed of the metal or alloy or containing it in rod, tubular, plate, or granular form. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
