Abstract

274,491. Squier, G. O. July 17, 1926, [Convention date]. Wired wireless systems; multiplex signalling. - In a wired-wireless system modulated high-frequency currents are passed over the individual subscribers' loops of a telephone system by impressing high-frequency energy simultaneously on all the loops by means of the wires of an otherwise unused loop. Highfrequency signals are passed from transmitting- station 1, 2, 3 to a central pair of wires 7 in a telephone cable 10 through transformers 5, 6. The signals are then communicated to the other pairs of wires 11 in the cable by radiation and capacity effects. At a receiving-station 13 two small highfrequency bye-pass condensers 19, 20 are connected across wires 12 and a wireless receiving- set 22 is connected to a point between the condensers.
