Aluminium, obtaining. - Aluminium hydroxide is supplied to an electrolytic furnace for the production of aluminium, after agglomeration bv compression or the use of a binder or both. The binder may consist of gelatine, glue, or other colloids, or of acids or salts. The hydroxide may be dried after agglomeration by the heat of the furnace. The agglomerated material may be in the form of large pieces or small grains.
