Abstract

Addressing and like machines; printing-surfaces.-A metal printing-plate 5 for use in addressing and similar printing machines is provided with a raised panel 7 the upper edge of which has an elongated slot 11 to receive an index or control tab 12 adjustable about a pivot 13 and fixed in adjusted position by means of a projection 16 engaging one of a series of holes 16<1> in the panel. A slot is formed in one end of the panel to receive a record card 15, and to facilitate the endwise insertion of the card by keeping it clear of the tab 12, short projections 14 and a long projection 14<1> are provided. The pivot 13 is formed by a collar passed through a hole in the panel and riveted over. Keeper slots 8 may be provided to receive the usual detachable tabs 10.
