Abstract

273,711. Leschik, G. July 5, 1926, [Convention date]. Cleansing - compositions - The quantitative liberation of oxygen from washing and bleaching agents containing persalts and soap is obtained by addition of catalysts such as manganese compounds of tyrosinase during use. The manganese compounds include manganous sulphate and lactate and manganous potassium sulphate. The tyrosinase may be obtained by expression from fresh potato skins, and may be disinfected with chloroform. Examples are given of the liberation nf oxygen from perborate solutions. with and without the addition of the catalysts. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the treatment with oxygen-liberating catalysts of washing and bleaching agents generally, e.g. agents composed of perborate alone or in admixture with soda. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
